Another Pioneer Gone

August Berg, an old and respected pioneer of this county, died January 15th at white Bird from blood poisoning caused by a slight cut on his hand.  He was past 72 years old and leaves two children and four step-children.

August Berg came here in the mining excitement of 1861-2 and has ever since remained a dweller in this county.  He did not long engage in mining but located a cattle ranch on Salmon River.
