Walter L. Brown

Walter L. Brown, 70, prominent in the business and financial circles of central Idaho for 50 years, passed away at his home in Lewiston Monday night.  A native of Virginia, Born Dec. 31, 1865 and came to Lewiston when 18? Years of age.  In 1888, he went to Warren and was engaged in the mercantile business.  In 1892 he moved to Cottonwood and engaged in partnership with Henry Wax and later was a business associate of William Brust.  He was married to Adda Cable in Grangeville on June 14, 1899.

He is survived by his wife and five children, a brother, W.W. Brown of Grangeville and a brother in North Carolina. 

Funeral services were held in Lewiston yesterday.
