LENA I. CASTLE TAKEN BY DEATH


Mrs. Lena Isabelle Castle, 57, died Monday, September 3, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ed Altman, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Castle was born March 2, 1899 at Grangeville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Webber, early day residents. She received her early education at Grangeville and Roseburg, Or. On May 24, 1925, she married Ben Castle in Grangeville and they made their home here since.
Survivors include her husband at home, her mother at Roseburg; four sons, Bennie, Burton, Miles, and Raleigh, all of Grangeville; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Steen of Stites and Mrs. Gerald Teft at Moscow; three sisters, Mrs. Altman of Grangeville, Mrs. Jim DisBrow and Mrs. Thelma Weber of Roseburg; two brothers, John and Ralph Webber, both of Roseburg and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, at two o'clock at the Robertson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. R. J. Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery.
