ELSIE GARETS FUNERAL TODAY

Mrs. Elsie Garets, 81, Grangeville native, died December 15 in Spokane where she had resided since 1939.
She was born in Grangeville, April 12, 1891, to Mr. and Mrs. William Von Berge. Her father operated a brewery on East Main Street, and in early days was responsible for rocking Grangeville streets.
She was married to Clarence Garets in Grangeville. He died several years ago.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Fleshland, Spokane; a grandchild and a great-grandchild; and a brother, Rudolph Von Berge.
Memorial services took place at Hazen and Jaeger's Gothic Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Hansen Funeral Chapel with burial in Prairie View Cemetery.
Note: They were married December 29, 1928 in Lewiston, ID.
