JAMES A. GOAN DIES TUESDAY: PNEUMONIA

James A. Goan, 44, died Tuesday morning at Dysard Hospital in this city with pneumonia. He had been ill only a short time. Funeral services will be held at the Hancock Funeral Home Friday, November 25, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Nelson C. Pierce officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Idaho Cemetery with graveside services in charge of Grangeville American Legion Post.
James A. Goan was born near Grangeville on July 22, 1894, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Goan. He grew to manhood here and when his country called he served in its defense in the World War. He was a member of the local American Legion Post.
Survivors are his wife Jessie Goan of Grangeville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Goan, Mt. Idaho; five sisters, Mrs. Ida Earp, Mrs. Ruth Pollan, Mrs. Georgia Dean, all of Grangeville; Mrs. Ellen Leavenhagen of San Francisco; Mrs. Leora Ritz, Lewiston; one brother , Ralph Goan, Mt. Idaho.
