CHARLES S. GREGORY

  Charles S. Gregory, 88, died of apoplexy, February 1 at his home in Weippe.  Mr. Gregory was well known to all old-timers in Idaho county.  He served as sheriff of the county from 1892 to 1894 and had been a stockman on Salmon river many years prior to becoming sheriff.  After leaving the sheriff’s office he was in business in White Bird a number of years.  He later moved to Lewiston to reside until 1932 when he went to Weippe.  Funeral services and place of burial were not learned.
