Kooskia Man Dies at Boise

  Kooskia – Leroy Hines, 32, died April 27 in Boise hospital.  He had been injured in an automobile accident on Sally Ann Creek road in 1956 and had been a patient in several hospitals since.

  He was born March 23, 1940, at Orofino, to Mr. And Mrs. Nathaniel Hines.  They moved to Stites wehre he attended school.  He was a freshman at Kooskia High School when he was injured in the accident. 

  Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Rose Hines at Kooskia; two brothers, James Hines, Toppenish, Wash. And Everett Hines; he was preceded in death by another brother, Henry G. Hines.  

  Mr. Hines was a great great grandson of Rev. James Hines, early day Nez Perce minister of Ahsahka.

  The funeral was Monday afternoon at Trenary Chapel.  Rev. Walter Moffett of the Kooskia Presbyterian Church officiated.  Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
