MERTIE HUTCHENS RITES HERE SATURDAY

Mrs. Mertie Chase Hutchens, 74, died Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Pasco (Wa).
Mrs. Hutchens had lived in the tri-cities area since October 1945, moving there following the death of her husband, John F. Hutchens. Mrs. Hutchens was a former Grangeville resident.
She is survived by three sons, Roy and Francis of Pasco, and Bryan of Kennewick; two daughters, Mrs. Otis (June) King, Clarkston, and Mrs. William (Sarah) Brown, Wallowa, Oregon; three brothers, Elmer Chase, Grangeville; Oden Chase, American Falls, and Theodore Chase of California; two sisters, Mrs. John (Laverne) Johnson, Greencreek, and Mrs. Garnit (Edith) McLean, Leslieville, Alberta, Canada; 14 grandchildren and eight grandchildren.
Rites will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Robertson-Hansen Funeral Chapel. John H. Strong will officiate. Interment follows at the Harpster Cemetery. The Muller Funeral Home of Kennewick is in charge of arrangements.
