JOHN F. LESTER, 95, IS DEAD

  John Francis Lester, 95, died Tuesday at Idaho County Nursing Home where he had been a patient for the past five years.  He was a retired farmer.

  He was born May 5, 1868 at Quincy Illinois.  He was educated at Quincy, then moved to Southwest City, Missouri where he was married to Laura Jane Ware on August 13, 1891.  The couple came west in 1904, settled at Baker and in 1912 moved to Idaho County.  Several years ago they moved to Kennewick, later to Pullman, then returned in 1933 to Idaho County.

  He was a Seventh Day Adventist and a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

  Survivors are four sons; Urban S. of Cottonwood, John of Grangeville, Kermit of Ellensburg, Henry of Grants Pass, Oregon; two daughters, Mrs. Cora Brasier of Walla Walla, and Mrs. Howard Williams, Kooskia, 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.  Robertson-Hansen Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
