CHRISTINA NELSON

Mrs. Christina Nelson, 84, a pioneer matron of the Salmon river region, passed away in White Bird at the home of her son, Henry Nelson, after two years of failing health and funeral services were held Monday in the White Bird Methodist church, Rev. H. E. Sias of Grangeville officiating, and interment was in the cemetery there.  Arrangements were in charge of the Ailor Mortuary.

Mrs. Nelson was born in Arendale, Norway, September 5, 1852 and was married to Edward M. Nelson in 1884.  She leaves to mourn three children Rosa Zumwalt of Lewiston and Henry and Nels Nelson, and a step-son Oscar, all of White Bird, and 15 grandchildren.

Mrs. Nelson had been a member of the Lutheran church since her girlhood in Norway.
