WALTER RAPE LAID TO REST

Walter Rape, 52 year old Grangeville man who met death at the Remacle place north of town last Thursday night in an auto accident on the state highway, was buried yesterday morning at Grangeville, the funeral being largely attended.  The deceased is survived by three sons and three brothers.  The accident which resulted in Rapes' death and the injury of two companions occurred near ?? grade of Stock creek and was due to the icy condition of the roads at the time and possible excessive speed at which the auto was traveling.  Failing to make the turn near the foot of the grade, the car tore through the fence and rolled over several times before coming to a stop in the field at the bottom of the hill.  The injured men were picked up by a passing autoist and brought here for first aid treatment and later taken to their homes at Grangeville.
