World War Veteran Dead

James Stuart received a telegram Sunday that Allen Reboin, a World War veteran, was dead at Hillyard, Oregon, as a result of tuberculosis contracted from exposure during the time he was in the service.

The deceased is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Reboin, whose residence is in Lukes Gulch, a few miles above Stites.  The remains will be brought home by one of the brothers and will be interred in the family cemetery.

Mr. Reboin was one of the Nez Perce Indians who enlisted in the U.S. Army and accompanied his regiment across the ocean to France where he was much active service on the battle line.  He brought home a splendid record for gallant service and his comrades will regret to hear of his death.

The funeral of the late Allen Reboin is being held today at the family home above Stites on the South Fork of the Clearwater.  A number of the Legion boys went up to attend the services.
