GRANGEVILLE STANDARD

SEPTEMBER 24, 1903

Frank I. Shissler, of Newsome, died September 21, 1903 aged 73 years.  He was born on Pennsylvania and learned the trade of machinist at Trenton, N.J.  following his trade he lived at various time in Peru, Australia and other farr-off lands.  He was one of the California argonauts of the early 50's, leaving there for Idaho in 1862.  He came directly to Florence where he lived 11 years, then moved out onto the prairie and then to Newsome.  He leaves a family of several sons.
