  OBITUARY

Charles S. Smith, formerly of Warren, died at Boise, January 28, 1910, from the result of an operation at a hospital in Boise.  At the time of his death he was 32 years, 9 months and 25 days of age.  He was the eldest son of Mr. And Mrs. Frank Smith.  He had a government contract to build a trail last summer known as the South Fork trail.  Left to mourn their loss is his father, C.F. Smith of Warren, a brother, Dan E. Smith of Warren and three sisters, Mrs. John Toney (Ada) and Mrs. Alfred Young (May) of Haines, Oregon and Mrs. Frank Goodell (Nell) of Grangeville.  Funeral services were held at Boise Monday.
