SEARCH ABANDONED

The search for George smith, the man who was lost a week ago last Saturday while hunting in the mountains near Adams Camp with a party from Green Creek, has been abandoned.  Sheriff J. I. Overman and Deputy Thompson spent two days in assisting in the search.  Today harvey Miller, of Green Creek, son-in-law of the missing man, and Earl Richardson, nephew, returned to Grangeville from the hills, having abandoned hope of finding the missing man until the snow goes off next spring.

The unfortunate man came to Green Creek this year from Iowa, being accompanied by his wife and they have been at the home of his daughter Mrs. Harvey Miller of Green Creek.  There are two other children living near Green Creek.  Four children living at the old home at Peterson, Iowa, have been telegraphed for.  T

The lost man is not related to George D. Smith of this place, as stated last week.
