Harry Mike Stuivenga, 83


Harry Mike Stuivenga, 83, died Nov. 26, 2005. He was born on Aug. 27, 1922, to Mike and Cora Stuivenga in Grangeville.
He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army in Germany where he met his future wife, Marianne Mueller. They were married on July 26, 1947, in Lewiston. They farmed in the Grangeville area until 1958 when they moved to the foothills of Mt. Spokane and operated a dairy farm for 15 years. In 1973 they moved to Cusick where they raised cattle and hay.
He is survived by six children, Dianna (and Gale) Morasch of Endicott, Wash., John (and Denise) Stuivenga of Colbert, Wash., George (and Laura) Stuivenga of Cusick, Judith (and John) Saxon of Chattaroy, Wash., and Jim Stuivenga of New York; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, William Stuivenga; three sisters, Charlotte Blanksma, Alice Hall and Susie DeHaas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne; an infant son, Harold, and his parents.
