Robert L. Yriberry, 27, killed Dec. 24, during a Japanese raid on Wake Island, was a former Grangeville boy, well known to many local people. He was the son of "Frenchy" Yriberry, Boise, and Mrs. James Pearson, Spokane, and a nephew of Mrs. C. F. VanSise and Mrs. John Mundt, Lewiston, and Frank Howard, Grangeville. Yriberry attended Grangeville high school, graduated from Clarkston, Wn., high school and Boise Business College. He went to Honolulu in 1937 as an employee of Remington Rand Co., later transferring to defense work at Wake Island.
