That the following act was approved at the Thirteenth
Session of the Idaho Territorial Legislature:
IDAHO COUNTY - Erecting a Safe
An
act to provide a fund for the erection of a safe for the use of Idaho
County, for preservation of the records and other valuables of the county.
Be
it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Idaho, as
follows:
Section
1. The
Board of County Commissioners of Idaho County are hereby empowered to levy
and cause to be collected annually during fiscal years one thousand
eight-hundred and eighty-five and one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-six, a poll tax of one dollar upon all persons within said county
subject by law to the payment of poll taxes which shall be collected in
the same manner as the other poll taxes are now collected.
Section
2. Whenever
a sufficient sum shall be collected under the provisions of this act, the
Board of County Commissioners shall cause to be erected a suitable safe or
vault at the county seat of said county for the preservation of the
records and other valuables of the county.
Section
3. The
Board of County Commissioners of Idaho County are hereby empowered to
transfer any surplus remaining in said fund after the accomplishment of
the object herein designated, to the Current Expense Fund.
Section
4. This
act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
