Ferdinand Enterprise - July 13, 1916
Monday, at 6 a.m. July 10, 1916, at the Catholic church,
by Father Boniface, occurred the marriage of Miss Mary Uhlenkott and William
Von Tersch, both prominent young people of this vicinity.
The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.W.
Uhlenkott, residing just on the border of the village, while the groom is a
son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Von Tersch, of Clarkston and he operates a farm a few
miles south-east of here.
Quite a number of the relatives and friends of the
contracting parties were present to witness the marriage ceremony and shortly
thereafter the bridal pair and their escorts.
Joseph Schaeffer Jr. and Miss Theresa VonTersch, a sister of the groom,
repaired to the home of the bride where they partook of a wedding breakfast
prior to their departure in Alois Uhlorn’s car for Clarkston, where they
will spend a couple of weeks honeymooning.
Mrs. VonTersch and Joe VonTersch, mother and brother of the groom
respectively were here from Clarkston to attend the ceremony.
The Enterprise joins with the many friends of the happy
pair in extending hearties congratulations.
After their honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. VonTersch will settle down on their
farm near here, where they will be at home to their friends. |
