“COUNTY
WET; BANK FAILS”
Sudden
Withdrawal of Funds to Buy Licenses Too Heavy Strain
Boise, Idaho.
Feb. 13 – Liquor is held responsible for the closing of the
state bank at Elk City, Idaho County, on February 8.
The sudden withdrawal of funds to purchase saloon licenses
following an election in which the county went “wet” crippled the
bank, it is said. |
