Cottonwood Idaho July 31, 1908 Mrs. Peter Bies is
Dead The citizens of Cottonwood were shocked Wednesday evening to learn of the sudden death of Mrs. Peter Bies at her home just north of town. The deceased was taken till Sunday evening but was not in danger until Wednesday afternoon when she begun to sink rapidly and passed away about six o’clock. Few knew of her illness and her death came as a surprise to everyone. Mrs. Bies would have been 38 years old next October. She was an affectionate wife, a kind and loving mother and a Christian in every sense of the word. She leaves a husband and nine children, ranging in age from 9 months to 17 years, to mourn her loss and her death leaves desolate a home where a mother’s presence is sadly needed. The remains were embalmed to await the arrival of a sister from Vancouver, Wash. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o’clock at the local Catholic Church, interment to be in the local cemetery. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the sorrowing husband and children in their hour of affliction |
