ROBERT HERMAN FARRIS(His real name was Robert Harmon Farris) January 31, 1938 Robert Herman Farris was born in Freeport, Ill., December 17, 1860, being at the time of his death 77 years, 1 month and 13 days old. When a child he, with his parents, moved to Humboldt, Kansas, where he lived until 22 years old. In 1883 he came across the plains to Idaho by wagon train. On July 11, 1885, he was married
to Alice Kinkaid and located on the Paddy White place in Fairview.
Six years later he bought the Pete Peterson place near Clearwater and
moved his family there. After living there 40 years he moved to the village of
Clearwater in 1933, where he resided until his death January 31, 1938. He leaves to mourn his passing his
widow, Alice; a brother, Major, of Nezperce; two sisters, Ida, of Portland,
Ore., and Laura of Lewiston, Idaho. Five children were born to this
union three sons, Allen of Clearwater; Gilbert of Republic, Wash.; Charley of
Augusta, Mont.; two daughters, Mable of Kooskia, and Grace of St. Maries.
There are 13 grandchildren. Funeral services were held
Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock in the Clearwater church. Interment was in the Clearwater cemetery.
