Robert Hendren, 81

Robert Ira "Bob" Hendren, 81, died peacefully Nov. 23, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital, Cottonwood, after a decades-long battle with emphysema.
He was born Nov. 5, 1924, at Red Fir near Kooskia to Albert and Stella Reed Hendren, and attended schools in the Kamiah and Kooskia areas. He entered the Army in 1943 and spent most of his six years with the combat engineers seeing action in France, Belgium and Germany. After the war he was part of the occupational forces in Japan. On leave during the war he married Alice Keough
