WARREN TIMES, DECEMBER 2, 1875

In a recent letter we are told of the death of Mr. John Hill, the packer at Mt. Idaho.  He was at Mt. Idaho with his pack train and a load of heavy freight for some of the camps.  In loading an animal his foot slipped and he fell with the heavy side pack falling upon him.  Dr. J.B. Morris attended him and he lived a day or two after the accident.  Mr. Hill was an old resident of Lewiston and had been engaged in packing for several years.  He was a worthy man and universally esteemed.
