DEATH TAKES ADDIE VON BERGE PRAIRIE NATIVE

 

  Funeral for ADDIE VON BERGE, 85, who  died November 29, in Grangeville General Hospital, was buried Tuesday afternoon at the Hansen Chapel, Rev. Earl Herring, Trinity Lutheran Church pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Denver Cemetery.

  Miss Von Berge was born May 27, 1884, at Fenn to Mr. and Mrs. John H. Von Berge. She attended Fenn schools and was a charter member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid Society of the church, and was one of the three surviving charter members of the Camas Social Club at Fenn, which was founded more than a half century ago.

  Miss Von Berge was a partner with her sister, Annie, in the operation of a ranch at Fenn until 1958, when her sister died. Miss Von Berge has resided at Parkhill Manor. She had been a patient at the Grangeville hospital for a day.

  Survivors include four nephews; Richard Hauger, Fenn; Fred Hauger, Aloha, Oregon; France Meyer, Fenn; and Carl Meyer, Arizona; two nieces; Mrs. Della Basinger, Edmonds, Washington, and Mrs. Alvina McCarthy, Grangeville.

  Pallbearers were Don Painter, Lewiston; Jack Meyer, Richard Hauger Jr., Jon Hauger, all of Fenn; George Shira and Jack Marek, both of Grangeville. C. Martin Asker was the organist and Mrs. Stuart Bowles vocalist.
