This was transcribed from an original Tax
Assessment Book. It has been transcribed by last name
exactly as the book.
Some of the handwriting was a little difficult to read. If there was a
question as to the spelling I have put a "?" by the name. When
only the last name was written, they were unusual and I am assuming most of them
were Chinese, as there were a lot of them there at that time. Any other
misspelled words I have left as they were hand written.
