NORTHERN TRAGEDY - CAS STEELE SUICIDES

The dead body of Cas Steele was found yesterday about a mile distant from the Halfway house on the road between Grangeville and Stites.  The man had committed suicide by cutting his throat and inflicting other wounds on his body.  The knife was found by his side.  Steele had spent several days in Grangeville on a protracted spree and his deed is accredited to temporary insanity as a result of dissipation.  He is a single man and resided in the Orofino section.
